Diva's birthday, falls on Saturday this year, that means, she's on GMA rehearsing for Party Pilipinas instead of celebrating. I haven't got any chance to ask her if she has any plan or future plan for her special day. Divaholics on the other hand, has simple plan for her.

Diva flew to Cebu for a Mall Show on January 13, in line with the celebration of Sinulog Festival. Together with her, were other Kapuso Stars, like Steven Silva, Mark Herras, Isabel Oli and many more. Some of  her friends and fans, went to Cebu Ayala Center not only to watch the show but also to take the opportunity to meet and greet her personally. She did a song and dance number there. Taking time to rest after work, they chose to stay  in Cebu for the rest of that day. Since, it's her birthday on the next day, Diva, accompanied by Steven also visited the Sto. Nino Shrine to pray and give thanks for another year in her life and for all the blessings that came her way and her family and love ones during the past year. Then, she with her friends, welcome January 14, by late food tripping. That marks the initial celebration.

On the following day, they went back to Manila at 9 am. They rested for a couple of hours, then proceeded to rehearsal. I don't know if Diva has still enough energy to go out and celebrate with her Party Pilipinas family. As fas ar I know, she went home early at night to rest and prepare for the Sunday show.

I set  myself to watch Party Pilipinas, of course because of her birthday, so I decided to pick her up in her house on that Sunday morning. Arrived there at 8:30 am, and she's ready. She brought with her, her usual stuff, clothes, shoes, etc. I personally don't like the idea of getting inside the studio at so early time, coz I'm only part of the audience. But I don't have any choice and I have to pin my self on the chair and wait for other Divaholics till they get inside. The truth is, I am guarding their seats, for the worry that they would be occupied by other fans when there's no more seats left to be seated. :)) It always happened. It so hard to control people even when they knew that the seats are labeled for a particular group. Anyway, I succeeded on keeping the area for our group. :) 

Diva was part of the grand opening number. As the show started, the audience were already going wild to cheer their respective favorite Party Pilipinas artists.  Of course, we have our own moment! We enjoyed every performance but so much more of  the Steven-Diva tandem of Sayaw Pilipinas Crew. Just like what I overheard, inspite of the shouting and cheering crowd, "Ang lakas magpakilig ng STIVA!" (Steven-Diva) I myself, can't get over with these two. And our live viewing was completed by the song and dance number of the GirlSquad.

Our birthday treat follows after the show. Since, I had the chance to invite Steven for that dinner few days ahead, he positively responded. Everybody was delighted when he join us.  There's really no dull moment when the group was with Diva. And her team up with Steven is the coolest ....and the sweetest!

DIVA Montelaba doesn’t mind playing contravida to Sarah Lahbati in “Kokak.” It will be recalled that Diva was Sarah’s runnerup in "StarStruck V." “Sarah and I are close friends so I welcome supporting her in her launching show,” Diva says. “Natutuwa nga ako dahil hit ang show namin and it will run for 16 weeks.”

She plays Cheenee in “Kokak,” the younger sister of Gian Magdangal who is against her brother’s marrying Jessa Zaragoza. “Hindi ko ma-take na pinakasalan ng Kuya ko si Jessa at gagawin ko ang lahat para sirain ang relationship nila. Ang nakakainis pa, dahil anak ni Jessa si Sarah, kukunin niya ito at patitirahin sa bahay namin kaya magkakaroon ako ng chance para laitin at apihin si Sarah. Tapos, pati si Gary Estrada na father ni Sarah, doon na rin sa bahay namin titira as family driver kaya magiging magkasama na sila roong buong mag-anak.”

Divaholics-Divanatics-WeHeartStiva Christmas Party 2011!

Divaholics, Divanatics and friends of Steven-Diva (weHeartSTIVA) gathered once again to celebrate the Christmas Holiday with Diva. Close friends and loyal supporters graced the event.

We started the party with a short prayer, followed by few introductions, a welcome short message from Diva,  then an ice breaker game, just to make everyone, comfortable with each other. 

After a series of fun games, Diva performed acoustic song numbers for us. Most of us were surprised, seeing her performing with a guitar, coz we're used to see Diva dancing in Party Pilipinas every Sunday, being part of the Sayaw Pilipinas Dance Crew. Recently we're also seeing her sing and dance with the cute girl-group- GirlSquad.  Her acoustic performance is new to us! 

Athough Diva really like dancing, she confessed that singing is indeed her first love. And even though, in between her performances, she humbly made some excuses for not being gifted with extra beautiful voice, I still believe she's doing good in it. And it doesn't matter if she didn't possess the real "Diva" voice, everybody enjoyed each of her number. She's giving justice to Starstruck V title as the Total Performer among her batch because she knows how to entertain her audience no matter how limited her preparation is. And it turns out good listening to her, coz we know its all coming from the heart.

Kinilig din ang lahat when I let them hear the audio greetings being sent by Steven Silva to the group. Of course, special mention ang kanyang special buddy...si Diva! :)

At the middle of the party and after more fun games and  raffle draws has been done, i thought Diva will not remember the Dougie Battle she always dare us on Tweeter. I wanted to hide under the table but Diva insisted that the battle won't start unless I step on the flat form. The ending is, I was being voted as the winner. The truth is....."They just want to show how generous they are to me, being the youngest..ha!ha!ha!" 

Another highlight of the party is when Diva sang "Superbass" while her 2 year-old cousin Nicole danced with her. Everybody was so delighted with the cute little girl.

Honestly, at first I doubted her playing of guitar 'til I saw her sang with it that night! She's really talented!

The party gave us more chance to familiarize and get closer to each other, especially to Diva. It was indeed a night of simple and warm people around.
