Such is an ironic situation given that the two, who are marketed as a love team by GMA-7, have good chemistry together that fans are most likely to believe that they're already an item. Plus they're appearing in the newest episode of "LOVE BUG" entitled "EXCHANGE OF HEARTS" wherein Diva's character Barbie is crazy in love with Steven's Tim.
The 19-year-old singer-turned -actress revealed that she never experienced love that turned into something obsessive. She had her puppy love when she was in Grade 4 and her last boyfriend when she was 18; but she stressed that she has never gone crazy in love over a boy!
"I was traumatized by what my father did. He left us when I was still in my mother's womb and only saw him when I turned 15. Since then I always thought that a man would always leave a woman like what happened to my mom," she explained.
Her experience also taught her not to give everything when falling in love. Now that she has a showbiz career to attend to, the more that love would take the backseat.
"Why give it all to someone when you can love yourself first? When you're ready then that's when you give it all to somebody. Right now, I'm not that ready," she reiterated.
"My first acting job was in 'Maynila.' But 'Love Bug' is a bigger break especially for us, the top four of 'Starstruck V.' I was very nervous because we were under a good director, Andoy Ranay," said Diva.
Shot in Camiguin island, "Love Bug, Exchange of Hearts" (airing today, July 18 after Party Pilipinas) is about childhood friends Rachel ( played by Sarah Lahbati) and Tim whose parents want them to be married to each other in the future. But as they grow older, Tim would find a girlfriend in Barbie. while Rachel would be engaged to Emil (played by Enzo Pineda).
